You may remember Chadd and Lana from their maternity session just a few weeks ago. Crazy how quickly that maternity session turns into a newborn session, isn’t it?! They welcomed their precious daughter Madelyn into the world on August 4, and they’re adjusting to life as a family of three!
Lana was scheduled to be induced on Monday, August 6, but Miss Madelyn had other plans. She was anxious to meet her parents, and they weren’t all that upset about meeting her a couple of days earlier either.
At only four days old, Madelyn was a complete angel during our session. She slept pretty much the whole time as her mom and dad snuggled up close to her. Her only complaint was wanting to punch her little fists out of her swaddle, but can you blame her?!
Chadd and Lana seemed to be adjusting to parenthood just beautifully. Their love for her is so big and real, and it’s the sweetest thing to witness. They are totally smitten with her. Both of them said at different points during our session, “It’s so much easier to smile for these pictures!”, because all they had to do was love on their new daughter the whole time. It’s pretty easy to smile when you’re doing that, isn’t it?
Chadd and Lana, thank you so much for inviting me into your home to document this special time in your lives. It was an honor, and I loved spending time with you and meeting Madelyn!
