Newborn Baby Boy In-Home Lifestyle Session

I’m not sure if there’s some universal magnetic force going on with me and the baby Becketts of the world since I have my own Beckett, but either way, this was my second newborn photo session featuring a baby Beckett this summer, and he was just as sweet as I know the Becketts of the world to be!

Amber had reached out to me a few months ago to go ahead and get her session on the calendar since she was also scheduling an appointment to have her makeup done for her photos by Kana at The Beauty Room. We scheduled the session assuming her baby would arrive right at or around her due date. Lo and behold, though, Beckett had other plans! He arrived just over a week early much to his Mama’s surprise! So we pushed their session up accordingly to make sure we captured Beckett while he was still in that fleeting newborn phase.

Labor and Delivery

Amber and I talked about her experience with labor and delivery, and this poor gal’s epidural didn’t take. I mean, can you imagine?! It’s one thing if you go into it knowing you’re not getting an epidural. It’s a whole new ballgame when you walk into it expecting to not feel anything, and you feel all of the things. OUCH, y’all. Suffice it to say, Amber is one strong lady for toughing that one out!

I think she’d tell you it was all worth it, though. She and her husband, John, absolutely adore the new addition to their family. Watching them love on their new son and seeing their sincere adoration for him was so beautiful, and I’m so happy they trusted me to document it. Congrats, John and Amber!
