Downtown Raleigh Couples Session | Lilly + John

Earlier this year, Lilly won my couples or engagement session giveaway, and luckily her boyfriend, John, was up for the task of hopping in front of my lens with her! Lilly lives in Charlotte but travels back to the Raleigh area often to visit John. They both graduated from UNC in Chapel Hill, so the area holds a special place in their hearts.

Downtown Raleigh Photo Session

We headed downtown for their session. Lilly said she wanted the session to have the feel of “oh! We just happened to be here and you took a picture of us!”, which if you know me, that’s what I’m ALWAYS up for. And when you do a session in an urban environment, it usually has more of that feel. Why? Because people are more likely to be frolicking around on the city streets together in nice clothes than a field of wildflowers. Totally not hating on photo sessions in fields, because I love those too. But I’m just stating my point. 😉

I adore the way Lilly and John interact. They’re so loving towards one another, and they’re always laughing. Believe me, you can never take yourself too seriously during a photo session with me, and these two didn’t let themselves which I love. We had so much fun together, and I’m so thankful that our paths crossed.
