It has taken me far too long to share these Apex in-home newborn photos. I mean, this session was from last spring, y’all! But better late than never, right? Especially with such a sweet baby to show off!
I blogged a family session I photographed last fall when this same baby was six months old. And then I suddenly realized that I hadn’t shared his newborn session yet! Alas, here we are.
Tony and Alyssa waited to find out the gender of their baby until he was born. If you didn’t know, I’m a really big fan of this! My husband and I didn’t find out the gender of our first two until they were born, and it was such a fun experience.
I know many people want to be able to plan, buy clothes, decorate the nursery and so on and so forth. Personally, though, there’s no amount of planning I could ever do that would outweigh the experience of the surprise you get once your baby is born.
And as you’ll see in this blog post through these newborn photos, you can still plan out an absolutely beautiful gender neutral nursery.
Baby Jack’s nursery was a coastal theme, and it was so gorgeous! The color of the accent wall behind the bed popped so wonderfully in these photos. The room had a ton of natural light and the blue-green wall gave the space just the perfect hint of vibrance.
And while it was perfect for Jack, it would’ve been perfect for a baby girl too.
So don’t think you have to go totally bland when planning a gender neutral nursery! This is a perfect example of how you can still make it beautiful and fun!
