A year ago I would’ve been confused by the concept of an outdoor newborn session. But then 2020 happened, and I’d venture to say we’ve all become more flexible and adaptable in how we do our jobs. And newborn photography is certainly no exception!
Adorable little baby Max was actually almost six weeks old at the time of his outdoor newborn session. He was born a few weeks early, though, so he was definitely still tiny enough for newborn photos!
His parents wanted to take some extra precautions due to COVID, so they opted for an outdoor newborn session as opposed to and in-home session. As it turns out, outdoor newborn sessions are their own kind of beautiful!
You may not get the cozy feel of a nursery, but you do get some really gorgeous light. And I don’t know about y’all, but I kind of love it.
Upon meeting Max’s parents, Will and Erin, I learned that they actually live in New York! Just before the craziness set in back in March, they escaped Manhattan. They decided to hunker down in Raleigh since Erin’s sister lives here.
They expected Max to be born in New York, but as we all know, 2020 had other plans! So sweet baby Max is spending the first few months of his life here in Raleigh before heading back north in November.
I, for one, am so happy that they landed here, because it means our paths were able to cross! Congrats, Will and Erin, on your sweet baby boy! And best of luck as you transition back to life in New York!
don't miss
These are absolutely stunning! Our family (especially Max someday) will cherish these forever. Love – Allie Vance (Erin’s sister)
