Raleigh In-Home Newborn Session
Baby Miles was quite possibly the most well-behaved baby I’ve ever photographed during a newborn session. He slept without hardly any coercion the whole time, until the very end when we took his clothes off and he may or may not have had an accident on his dad. But you’ll have that, right?!
Besides the fact that Miles was adorable and perfect, his parents were equally enjoyable to hang out with during our session.
Ryan and Amanda are so kind and personable, and their love for their newborn son is palpable.
A Heartbreaking Beginning
While you may look at these photos and see joy beyond measure, their story didn’t have the most joyful beginning.
Two years ago, their first son, Theo, passed away during labor. As a parent, I can only imagine the immense sadness and heartbreak they experienced.
Besides the piece of their first son that lives on in their hearts, Ryan and Amanda also had a weighted bear that they call Theo Bear that we included in a few photos with Miles.
It’s hard to say if it was knowing their story or just being in their presence, but this session pulled at my heartstrings and has quickly become an all-time favorite of mine.
Ryan and Amanda, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home to capture this fleeting season of life. I’m so honored that I was able to document part of your story!
