A change of plans
This Raleigh maternity session was actually supposed to happen in Tiffany’s home state of Ohio, but COVID had other plans. It’s actually had a lot of other plans lately, though, hasn’t it? But I digress.
Personally, I was thrilled to photograph their maternity session! They chose a beautiful location for their session at the North Carolina Museum of Art. It has the perfect balance of nature and architecture if you ask me. So if you’re looking for a backdrop like that for a photo session in the Raleigh area, look no further! This place is a gem!
A gender surprise!
Erich and Tiffany’s baby is due in July, and they’re not finding out the sex of their baby which is my favorite. We didn’t know the gender of either of our boys until they were born, and there’s truly nothing like it.
As Tiffany reminded me, though, one of the hardest part is picking out – and agreeing on – two names! This can certainly be taxing. These soon-to-be parents have struggled more with girl names, and ironically, my husband and I have always struggled more with boy names. And we’ve had two boys. So maybe that means their little nugget is a girl 🙂 Only time will tell!
Maternity Photo Session in Raleigh
We started off their maternity session near the museum, which was totally vacant, because #COVID. Erich is an architect so he fully appreciated the beauty of the building and the different structures around it. We were also able to catch some gorgeous light beaming perfectly through the trees while we were near the building. And if you know me, I never turn down good light.
We finished their session up in the park to add an element of nature into their maternity photos. It was truly the perfect combination!
Erich and Tiffany, thank you so much for choosing me to document this season of your lives! It won’t be long before it’s over and that sweet baby joins you!
