These Cary family photos at home took place at home but not inside their home. Did you know that’s an option?!
The Gann family wanted to do their family photos at their house in Cary since they spent so much time there throughout 2020 and into 2021, but we didn’t take even one photo inside their house!
Instead, we hung out in their front yard, walked down the street in front of their house and let their daughter play with bubbles in the yard. It still has that laid back, sweet, cozy vibe you get from an in-home session, but it’s mixed with the beauty of the outdoors in the spring. Not a bad deal, right?!
If you’re considering a family photo session at your home and don’t know whether to opt for indoors or outdoors, remember that you can always do both!
We can also always use areas like your front door, a door to a porch or windows with the screens popped out to straddle the line and do both at once. This is sometimes a great option if your house lacks much natural light streaming through the windows.
Either way, though, you can quite literally never go wrong with a family photo session at your home. They’re almost always my favorites, and they’ll be yours too once you do one!
