This Raleigh outdoor family session was full of perfect weather, beautiful light and lots of adorableness from the Ichiho family!
When Michelle originally reached out, she wanted to incorporate a field of wildflowers into their session, but the time of year wasn’t conducive to that landscape. So we settled on the North Carolina Museum of Art, and we’re going to do a wildflower session this spring instead!
Yet another family who moved during the pandemic was this sweet family. And they moved from none other than California! I have a soft spot for the state of California. The landscape, the unbeatable weather and the laid back vibe are all so appealing to me. I only wish the cost of living wasn’t astronomical and that it wasn’t on the other side of the country. Is that so much to ask?!
Nevertheless, I’m always surprised when I hear of people leaving California and moving elsewhere. For this family, though, it made sense as Michelle’s parents live here.
And sometimes, that’s all the justification you need when you have kids!
Having the help of family once you have kids is invaluable! We currently don’t live in the same state as either of our parents, but we have before. The convenience and peace of mind it provides at times is such a gift.
That being said, we are prime examples of not being able to make that happen due to jobs. And while we miss living near family, we also absolutely love living in Raleigh and wouldn’t choose to live nearly anywhere else. Well…. except for maybe California. 😉
