Listen, y’all. I’m low key obsessed with this Raleigh in-home family session and would really not hate it if we could just do every family session in-home. Who’s in?
Most people only think of newborn sessions when they think of a photo session taking place inside their home, but family sessions are 100 percent fair game. They’re cozy, relaxed, natural and oh-so-fun!!
In-home sessions capture your life and love in a more authentic way than you can ever do in the middle of a field. Not to mention your little ones usually feel more comfortable at home. So they also tend to open up a bit more easily!
I first worked with this sweet family for Jack’s six month photos in 2020. Fast forward a year, and suddenly baby Jack is toddler Jack. I know how quickly kids grow. I have four of my own. But it always astounds me when I work with repeat clients and see how much bigger they are compared to the last time we worked together!
From what I learned during our session, Jack is a big fan of mac n’ cheese. You’ll only see evidence in one of these photos, but there were many pauses and breaks taken for bites of mac n’ cheese. And as a fan myself, I can’t say it’s all that bad of an idea. I’d probably behave a lot better too if I were being fed mac n’ cheese on the regular.
And to end the session, Jack got to play in the kitchen sink. We presented it as a reward for him, but I think it may have been a bigger reward for me, because #allthehearteyes for these sink photos, y’all. Check them out to see what I mean!
