You guys. This nursery. This family. ALL OF THE HEART EYES. I actually don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby girl’s nursery as beautiful as this one. It was gorgeous!
Baby Finley arrived over two weeks early, but her parents weren’t too upset about getting those extra days with her!
First Babies Versus Second Babies
During their session we talked about how much easier second babies are compared to first babies. And let me be very clear. It has nothing to do with the baby in most cases. It has everything with knowing what to expect.
The first time around, your world is turned completely upside down. You can read all of the baby books and blogs, but until you experience parenthood, it’s really hard to grasp.
Those first few days and weeks aren’t always pretty. It’s too big of a life change for it to be a super smooth transition, and anyone who tells you otherwise is an actual unicorn.
You adjust, though. You learn what your new normal way of life is like with a baby, and everything starts to unfold from there.
So by the time you have your second, it’s totally different. You know what to expect. You know what sleep deprivation feels like. You’ve learned how to function with it. You know how to be a mom or a dad, it’s a much more relaxed experience.
And I must say, Aaron and Ashley seem to have made this transition very easily. Even big sister Harper is seeming to enjoy her new role as well!
