This Historic Oak View family session is what actual dreams are made of. The light, the trees, the old southern home… I mean, be still my heart.
When Megan first reached out to me about doing a session, she was hopeful that we’d be able to schedule it in time to do a pregnancy announcement. We had everything scheduled perfectly and ready to go when Hurricane Isaias showed up on our radar.
We ended up rescheduling, though, and scored a really beautiful summer night. I mean, it was hot and humid – don’t get me wrong. But the sunlight showed up in the best way. Like that “all the heart eyes” way.
Soon-to-be big brother, Dean, needed a minute to warm up to the whole situation. So we started things off by visiting the chickens on the property. What two-year-old doesn’t like chickens, right?!
After checking out the chickens we were ready to go, and he was a champ!
If Megan and her family look familiar to you, that’s because she’s the incredible lady behind NC Eat & Play! I started following her on Instagram earlier this year, and I’ve loved all of the recommendations she offers up.
From places to eat to things to do, she shares all of the most wonderful North Carolina gems. And since she and her family are local to Raleigh, a lot of those gems are really close by! If you don’t already, definitely give her a follow on the ‘gram at @nceatandplay.
You’ll never be at a loss when it comes to things to do around here if you keep up with her!
I can’t keep these beautiful people from you any longer now, so go ahead and get to scrolling through this session! Your eyes will thank you.
