This Cary in-home newborn session was one of several newborn sessions I had last fall that included a newborn baby girl and two big brothers. I don’t know what it was, but all of the boy mamas were having girls!
I was kind of hoping their girl magic would rub off on me, but alas, here I am having two more boys. 😂 Apparently this twin newborn session was the one that actually rubbed off on me. I’m not mad about it, though! 🙂
These two big brothers had just woken up from their naps and jumped right into the photo session like a couple of pros. Their love and adoration for their new sister was so apparent.
You may not know this, but I always bring coffee for the parents to a newborn session. I mean, let’s be honest. If you’ve ever needed caffeine in your life, it’s after having a baby! The sleep deprivation is real y’all. Especially if you’re breastfeeding.
Once we finished up their session, Ellen realized that she hadn’t had much of her pumpkin spice latte yet. She said she’d warm it up and drink it, and proceeded to say that’s how she usually drinks her coffee these days.
And isn’t that the truth?! When you have three kids and one is a newborn, finishing a cup of coffee while it’s still hot is absolutely a luxury. There’s always someone to tend to or someone who needs you.
The good news, though, is that as your kids get older, finishing that hot coffee becomes more realistic. In the meantime, though, I’d suggest investing in a Yeti. 😉
