In-home lifestyle newborn sessions are kind of my favorite thing in the world. I mean after my family and friends and all of that good stuff, of course. But I just love the coziness, authenticity, comfortability and uniqueness the in-home setting provides for a session.
But when you throw in a gorgeous historic home with amazing character, beautiful window light and the sweetest family now boasting three little boys? Well, then I’m in photographer heaven.
I’ve known Candace for as long as I can remember. She was two years behind me in school, so she’s always been the kind of person that you just know. Fast forward several years later, and we both ended up back in Evansville around the same time after stints in different cities.
Candace and her husband, Ross spent several years in Charlotte, NC before landing back in Evansville a few years ago. It’s been a pleasure watching them bring such life and vibrancy to our city. Beyond that, our boys attend the same Mother’s Morning Out program, and so I’ve seen Candace on a really regular basis over the past couple of years!
Needless to say, I was pretty ecstatic when she reached out to have me capture their newborn photos. I adore their family and being able to document this exciting and transitional season of their lives was so much fun.
And on a somewhat unrelated note, I have to give some major props to Candace. She managed to potty train Pierce, their middle son, with a newborn baby at home. I mean, I CAN’T EVEN. If my Beckett doesn’t get it together soon, I’m going to hire her to come over and work her magic on him.
