Family of five photo session

Family of Five Photo Session

Two energetic kids and one sweet baby made this family of five photo session a super fun one! I kind of love photographing families of five or more simply because more people means more possibilities.

There are more opportunities for different bonds and relationships to be captured as well as a larger variety of combinations of people you can photograph. Overall, it leaves potential for more visual interest, and I love it.

Don’t get me wrong. The more people there are, the more difficult a session can be to manage too! But in my opinion, the trade off is always worth it. More people generally equals more love, and y’all know I’m always here for that.

A fourth baby on the way

And even with three little ones, would you believe me if I told you they have a fourth on the way?! Because they do!

I’m genuinely impressed with the less than two year age gaps between all of these children. And perhaps what’s even more impressive is how wonderfully Matt and Julia love and handle all of them.

I’m sure there’s never a dull moment in their house, and I’m sure mom and dad wouldn’t mind a day off every now and then. But oh my goodness! How fun will it be for them to have these four kids within just a few years of each other once they’re older?!

I know it’s hard when they’re little, but one of the reasons I couldn’t give up the idea of having a third baby (without the knowledge that we’d actually get babies three and four 😂) was knowing how incredible it would be once the kids were grown.

That’s not to say there isn’t fun to be had and joy to be found in the younger years. There most certainly is. But I know there are a lot of trying days too.

Having that vision of a big family years from now, though, always called my name despite the hardships that raising children can sometimes bring. I never wanted to regret not having another baby 20 years down the road no matter how hard the day to day in the present is. And now I don’t have to. And neither does this adorable family.

Stay tuned for their newborn session coming up this summer! I can hardly wait to see these five and their new addition again!!
