The newborn phase flies by in the blink of an eye no matter how many children you have, but I can only imagine how much more quickly it must go when it’s your third!
Tending to the needs of two other children while adjusting to life with a new addition can’t leave much time to spare or to even stop and think about what’s happening; which is one of the reasons I’m so happy this family of five now has photographs (and a video!) to look back on and remember this season by.
Cassandra was scheduled to be induced on a Sunday, but baby Levi had other plans and made his arrival the day before. As we know, though, it’s never a bad thing to gain one more day of life with your child.
I’ve heard many people say that going from two to three children is the hardest transition. You wouldn’t know it by hanging out with this family, though. The beauty and ease with which they parent was obvious to me when I visited their Raleigh home for Levi’s newborn session.
Sure, the two older kids are going about their business as if nothing has changed, but Mom and Dad remained cool, calm and collected. I can only imagine how much joy Levi will add to their lives in the years to come and how much fun he’ll have with his older brother and sister as he grows.
Jordan and Cassandra, thank you so much for opening your home to me and giving me the honor of freezing this season of life in time for you!
