This was actually Mackenzie and Jonathan’s second engagement session! You may remember their first engagement session, complete with a pillow fight, matching pajamas and breakfast.
And then to follow that adorable session up with an engagement session in Telluride, CO… well let’s just say picking a favorite between the two would be like picking my favorite child – impossible.
Mackenzie and Jonathan actually got married in Telluride (more on that later), and they wanted to add in an engagement session there as well. Naturally I was game, because have you seen Telluride? (That was 100 percent a Chandler Bing reference, by the way.)
We started their session in Downtown Telluride. If you’ve never visited the old mining town, let me start by saying it’s gorgeous. It’s quaint and charming and surrounded by the mountains. And we just so happened to be there during peak leaf changing season, so it was extra gorgeous.
After making our way through the town and dodging all of the people on the sidewalks (and a few cars in the street), we headed back to Mackenzie and Jonathan’s rental home in Mountain Village.
The couple, along with their parents and Mackenzie’s brother, rented an incredible home in Mountain Village, which is a quick 10 minute drive from Telluride. It’s also accessible by the free gondola, making the two small villages incredibly easy to get to.
Being able to capture their second engagement session in not only a beautiful place, but a place that will forever hold a special place in their hearts was such a wonderful experience. Thank you, Mackenzie and Jonathan, for trusting me to capture these photos for you!
