You all may think this is Molly’s first appearance on this blog, but you’d actually be wrong! Our paths first crossed when I shot her good friend Sally’s wedding almost exactly a year ago.
And now Molly and her fiance, Ryan, are tying the knot this coming November and I’m the lucky one who gets to work with this amazing couple!
The happy couple met when Ryan was interning at the company that Molly works for. It didn’t take them long to figure out that Ryan’s mom had been Molly’s boss at her former place of employment! Unlikely connection, right?!
Their first date was at Tee Time driving range, and they just so happened to get engaged there too. I love proposals that happen in meaningful places, so clearly this stole my heart.
In Molly’s words, she says “Ryan is the calm, constant voice of reason to my craziness. He is the most loyal, passionate and caring person. I truly never knew what unconditional love was until I met him and I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with him!”. I mean, pass the tissues, because I CAN NOT with that sweetness. They’re so adorable.
For their engagement session, we went out and got crazy in the wilderness. And by wilderness, I mean Pigeon Creek Greenway and Bluegrass. That’s about as wilderness-ish as I get.
We had really great intentions of using the water and rocks at Pigeon Creek Greenway, but the crazy amount of rain we got over the past couple of months spoiled those plans. The water was so high that the rocks weren’t visible, and the ground was straight up mush. But Molly and Ryan are amazing and just rolled with plan B.
Bluegrass graced us with the beauty that it always does, and it also graced us with ticks upon ticks. We all were a little bit paranoid about the little creatures crawling on us, but the gorgeous blooms, tall grass and perfect sunset made up for all of it.
Getting to know Molly and Ryan better throughout our session was the best. They’re such a sweet and kind couple, and I can hardly wait for their upcoming wedding!
