Y’all may remember this gorgeous couple from their engagement session last spring! It’s crazy to think of how much has happened between then and now.
Dylan and Savannah had plans to get married in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii in April. Now that I’ve said, “April”, you can probably guess how the rest of this story goes.
COVID did what it’s been doing best and cancelled their trip to Hawaii, and consequently their planned wedding ceremony.
Because they had planned to get married in Hawaii, they wanted to do a first look session here in Raleigh. So this photo session was also planned for early April. Needless to say, that didn’t work out.
Once they realized they wouldn’t be getting married in Hawaii, they shifted directions and ended up getting married on the beach on Topsail Island, NC. Not the worst thing that could happen, right?!
You may have even heard about their wedding on Good Morning America or The Knot. They made national news when a FedEx driver delivered their wedding rings to the beach during their wedding ceremony!
All of that to say, they showed COVID who’s boss and got married anyway!
They’re still planning to go to Hawaii and have their planned ceremony there, but these two are already official, y’all. And we did this photo session at the North Carolina Museum of Art to celebrate!
We had to dodge some rain here and there, but that gave us the opportunity to add an umbrella into some photos. And if you know me, you know I don’t hate that.
Despite all of the obstacles that have been thrown at these two this year, they’re still two of the kindest people I’ve met and had the pleasure of working with. And it’s obvious that they have persevered as a couple and love one another with their whole hearts.
Dylan and Savannah, thank you for choosing me to document this part of your lives! Congrats on your marriage, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!!
