John and Mandy’s wedding day was what dreams are made of. Their day started off at the Lockmaster Cottages in Downtown Newburgh where the girls and guys prepared for the big day next door to one another. Mandy and her bridesmaids had Ellie Schmitt from Salon One come to the cottages to do their hair, and Kaylee Folz beautified them with her make-up skills. They all looked stunning, to say the least, as they popped champagne in their floral robes to Mandy and her soon-to-be husband!
The bridesmaids wore mismatched styles of bridesmaids dresses from Show Me Your Mumu in a beautiful soft blush, and naturally the bride stole the show in her Watters gown from House of White Bridal Boutique. The groom and groomsmen complemented the ladies perfectly in their gray suits from Express. The neutral wedding color pallette fit Mandy and John and their whole day so beautifully!
Mandy and John shared their first look at one of the most fitting places – where Mandy bought her dress at House of White! The courtyard, filled with beautiful greenery and subtle pops of color from the flowers against the white house, couldn’t have worked out better. John stood facing away from his bride as she walked up behind him. When she tapped him on the shoulder, he smiled the biggest smile and fell into her arms, swept away by her beauty. They both share a deep adoration for one another, and their first look was a true reflection of that part of their relationship.
When Mandy walked down the aisle at their wedding ceremony at Preservation Hall in Downtown Newburgh, they both had that same look of love and adoration in their eyes for one another. All of their wedding guests could feel the sincere love and happiness as Mandy and John vowed forever to one another. Instead of a unity candle, they opted to do a unity cross and knot tying followed by a private prayer between the two of them. It was a beautiful moment to witness.
Following the ceremony, guests celebrated the bride and groom just around the corner at their wedding reception at 20 West. The reception venue in Downtown Newburgh is so stylish and refined with its beautiful chandeliers, twinkle lights and carriage house doors. John and Mandy couldn’t have chosen a better reception location to fit their day!
Guests enjoyed passed h’orderves, a buffet, cake and sweet treats from The Bauerhaus. Just as the sun was setting, Mandy and John snuck away for a few sunset portraits by the river. We were a bit disappointed to step outside to a cloud filled sky, but we took advantage of the opportunity nonetheless. Just as we were getting ready to take the bride and groom photos by the river, there was a break in the clouds and the sun popped right through! It was absolutely perfect, and a moment of divine intervention if I do say so myself 🙂
The couple returned to 20 West and danced the night away under the stars and twinkle lights with their family and friends to end their dreamy wedding day. Congratulations to you, Mr. and Mrs. Andresen! You are an incredible couple surrounded by and equally incredible support system in your family and friends, and you have SO much to look forward to in life!
