Chris and Jennie knew one another years ago in high school, but it wasn’t until recently that they reconnected and the sparks started to fly. The two originally reconnected at a Valentine’s Day dance the Saturday before February 14 of last year. Chris asked Jennie to dance, and they shared their first date later that week on Valentine’s Day!
They spent last summer getting to know one another and each other’s families better. Chris has two children and two grandchildren, and Jennie has three children and two grandchildren. As Jennie says, they’re the light of their lives!
The day before Valentine’s Day of this year, Chris brought Jennie roses to her office and took her to dinner. After dinner, the two took a walk along the river in Newburgh. They stopped at God’s Garden where Chris poured his heart out to her and told her that there was no one else he could imagine spending his life with, and Jennie says she said yes about ten times! She says he’s the most kind, thoughtful and caring man she’s ever known, so saying yes was a no brainer for her.
Chris and Jennie tied the knot in a very small ceremony with only their maid of honor and best man present. The two exchanged vows through a few tears, shared a kiss and then reveled in the joy of being newly married. Family joined them after the ceremony for dinner and celebration.
Thank you so much for including me in your marriage celebration, Chris and Jennie! It was a joy to witness, and I wish you all the best that life has to offer as you begin your married life together!
