I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Jena through our Evansville Rising Tide Society TuesdaysTogether group over the past year and a half or so. She’s a wedding planner in the area, so suffice it to say we have a lot in common!
Naturally I was all in when she reached out to book an anniversary session for her and her husband, Jason’s, first anniversary! We landed on Franklin Street, because can you really go wrong with ice cream and beer? No, no you cannot.
A little wrench was thrown in our plan when we realized that Milk & Sugar was closed on the night we had our session scheduled. We didn’t let that spoil our plans though. Jason and Jena picked up ice cream on the way to our shoot and brought along some adorable bowls to eat it out of.
We utilized the outside of the ice cream shop, and it actually worked out quite nicely. Because do you know what you don’t have to fight for a shot when no one else is around? PEOPLE! YAY for us!
We then headed down the street to Gerst and just so happened to score the best spot on their patio. We seriously couldn’t have gotten any luckier! Jason and Jena ordered drinks and we chatted for a while before jumping into the end of their shoot while we waited for their beers to arrived.
I had so much fun getting to know both of them better, and I’m SO happy that they decided to celebrate their first wedding anniversary with a photo session. It’s definitely one worth celebrating, and I’m thrilled that I was able to document it for them!
Love these pics which you or we were closer, I’d love some pics!!
We are friends of your grandma, Sherry
