It may have snowed the week before Kara and Cory’s November wedding day, but it cleared up beautifully just in time for these two to tie the knot! Kara and Cory live in Lexington but chose to get married in Kara’s hometown of Henderson. The girls prepared for the day at Holy Name Church where the happy couple would later get married, while the guys got ready just a few miles away at the Ramada.
Kara and Cory shared their first look outside in front of the church before heading in to make it official! As Kara walked down the aisle with her dad by her side, the tears fell from her eyes. The emotion obviously overwhelmed her, and it was one of the most beautiful moments of the entire day.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to Farmer and Frenchman to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Doucet. The reception venue was beautifully decorated with florals by J Petals.
Bridal Party Photos and Wedding Reception
Before heading in to celebrate, though, the entire wedding party stepped outside for bridal party photo time! This was a really fun group of people, and they totally rocked this part of the day. The bridesmaids’ emerald green dresses from The White Dress of Lexington were so perfect for a fall wedding, and the groomsmen’s navy suits from Paul’s Menswear complemented them beautifully.
And then the new Mr. and Mrs. just so happened to have their bride and groom portraits during the most beautiful sunset. We definitely timed it that way, but the sun came through for us just perfectly!
Kara and Cory celebrated the rest of the night with their friends and family inside of the gorgeous barn at Farmer and Frenchman. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Doucet for allowing me to capture your gorgeous day!
