A little bit of rain couldn’t put a damper on the fun on Lindsey and Kevin’s wedding day. Actually, not even a complete downpour could!
When I first met Lindsey last December, she told me that she and Kevin were silly together and enjoyed having fun and goofing off. I really think those joyful personalities came through on their wedding day and eased the stress that less than ideal weather can sometimes cause.
Lindsey and her bridesmaids got ready at The Fehn House across the street from Neu Chapel. It’s the most darling little house with charm and character. Lindsey’s hair was done by POSH Hair Studio, and she opted for a half up/half down bridal hair style.
The style complemented her wedding gown from Ella Park Bridal perfectly. With the help of her maid of honor, Lindsey stepped into her gown before sharing a heartfelt first look with her dad.
As soon as she stepped outside of the house, her bridesmaids were waiting with anticipation to see her as a bride for the first time. The expressions on their faces were filled with so much joy and love for their friend!
The rain started to come down leading up to the ceremony, but you better believe it was all sunshine inside! Lindsey and Kevin decided to forego a first look, so when Kevin first saw his bride as he walked down the aisle he grinned from ear to ear. It was the sweetest thing.
It literally downpoured throughout their entire ceremony, but by the time the wedding party was ready to exit the church and head to the reception at West Haven, the rain had let up quite a bit. And even better? There was a double rainbow! Does it get any more perfect than that?!
I remember Lindsey telling me that the best way to describe her vision for her reception was an enchanted forest, and I would say her vision definitely came to life! The West Haven Chalet was covered in tons of twinkly lights and the accents of wood along with the colors of deep purple and gold completed the theme perfectly.
One of my favorite parts of Lindsey and Kevin’s wedding day was seeing how much fun they had at their reception. The two danced and laughed the night away with their friends and family. It was such a joyous celebration, and I’m sure it’s only a sliver of the joy that’s to come in their lives. Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Pritchett!!
