After having to reschedule Sarah and Isaac’s engagement session two times, our third date actually worked! The “spring” weather (or lack thereof) in Evansville has not been conducive to photo sessions of any kind. And Sarah and Isaac had to travel two hours from Bowling Green, Kentucky for their session so we had to be extra cautious with any chance of storms…or snow.
The third time really was a charm, despite the thirty degree temperatures, but beggars can’t be choosers, right?! It may have been chilly outside, but you wouldn’t have known it by the smiles on Sarah and Isaac’s faces. They just beam around one another. They cuddle up together so naturally, like they just fit each other perfectly.
After hitting a few spots around Downtown Evansville, we were walking to our next destination when Comfort caught our eye. It was cold outside, and it was warm and beautiful inside of Comfort. So we made an impromptu decision to dodge the frigid temps for a few minutes and pop into the new downtown restaurant for part of their session.
Sarah and Isaac ordered a couple of cocktails and snuggled up next to one another at a table by the window while I documented their adorable interactions. We then had the opportunity to sit and chat as they finished their drinks and get to know each other better. I just love opportunities like this to get to know my couples better, so naturally, this ended up being one of my favorite parts of our time together even though I wasn’t shooting!
We wrapped up their session a few blocks away in the Historic District of Downtown Evansville. The charm of the area complemented the urban feel of the beginning of their session perfectly. Sarah and Isaac, you two were a complete joy to work with, and I’m now even more excited for your wedding in June!
