Engagement Photo Session Giveaway
You all may remember that I hosted a couples or engagement photo session giveaway last month. Well, part of the giveaway was that the winner was able to gift another session to a friend of their choosing. And luckily for Damaris, she was the chosen friend!
Damaris actually entered the giveaway as well after her friend (the winner, Lilly), tagged her in the post. And although she didn’t win outright, she still won in a roundabout way!
Damaris and her boyfriend, David live in Carrboro just outside of Chapel Hill. After graduating from UNC, the two took some time to travel before making their way back to North Carolina to make a more permanent homebase.
Photography and Therapy
Just before we got their session started, David asked me to catch him up to speed on how this whole session came about. I explained the whole “couples session” giveaway thing, and unfortunately my chosen terminology made David think I was a therapist. 😂 So I guess for a moment David thought that he had been roped into couples counseling in addition to the photo session.
Luckily for David, I’m a photographer and not a therapist, so we skipped the whole counseling bit, but we all got a good laugh out of it regardless! And after seeing the way these two interacted, I feel pretty confident that any counseling I could have offered them wouldn’t have been needed. 🙂
David and Damaris interacted so adorably. The love and connection that they share is evident just by being around them for a short period of time, and I think you’ll also find it undeniable just by scrolling through these photos.
A huge thank you to David and Damaris for allowing me to capture this season of your lives! It was a pleasure spending time with you, and I’m so grateful we were able to connect!
