Historic Oak View Family Session

This Historic Oak View fall family session turned out to be a favorite. This family of three was so sweet and so much fun to work with!

And not only that, we incorporated video into their session as well which always makes me the happiest! Maddox was about 10 months old at the time and just learning how to walk. The way he walks, falls down and pulls himself back up again is sure to melt your heart. I swear there are few things more precious to capture on video.

I’ll let you see for yourself though!

Why you need a video

Many people think getting a video of their family is unnecessary or over the top. “Photos will suffice,” they think. And you’re right – they will! But here’s the thing: you will never regret having the video too.

There’s something so incredibly emotional about seeing your family connect in motion through video. While I’m obviously a huge fan of photos, video does something that photos can’t do. So think of your future self and how in love you’ll be with your video the next time you book a family session.

Transplants to North Carolina

As is the case with so many of my clients, the Knapp family recently moved to the Raleigh area from out of state. Their journey brought them all the way from New York!

As a transplant myself, I love meeting families who have recently moved here. So many people I’ve recently met either moved here right before the pandemic or in the middle of it, and I seriously feel for them!

Transitioning to a new city as an adult can be difficult regardless. Add in the challenge of not being able to go anywhere, meet anyone or truly explore your new city, and I can only imagine what it’s like at this time.

These three seem to be loving it here regardless, though. And ironically, that seems to be the consensus with everyone I meet. I can’t say I disagree with them either!

Michael and Gabriella – thank you so much for trusting me to document this little slice of your life! I loved spending time with you, getting to know you and capturing your memories!

Meet Morgan

  1. Gabriella says:

We absolutely loved working with you, Morgan! You made the picture taking process a breeze and super fun! We adored the video you created for us. We’re thankful to have our video as a reminder of our time in Raleigh with our baby boy. As I’ve told you before, these are our favorite pictures we’ve ever had taken. Including our wedding photos.

If anyone is on the fence about taking pictures with Morgan or adding on a video. Just do it! Morgan will have your whole family laughing during your session. We weren’t sure how our 10 month old would do because he was everywhere. Morgan totally embraced his energy and took the most adorable pictures of him. You will not regret the beautiful images of your family that you will get from working with Morgan!
